A hammer coral with lavender-white tentacles tipped in green-teal. The tips fluoresce strongly, which is where the name comes from, but the body colour holds under standard lighting too.
Hammers are among the easier euphyllia to keep and one of the best movers in a reef. The tentacles drift constantly in moderate flow. Medium light and medium flow on the middle or lower reef.
Give it space. Hammers sting, and they will damage other corals within sweeper range. Keep several inches clear, particularly from other euphyllia species.
